Two Individuals Seriously Injured In A Two-Vehicle Accident On Grant Road Sunday Morning

A two-vehicle accident on Easter Sunday on the southeast side of Carroll sent six individuals, two with suspected serious injuries, to the hospital. The accident occurred at approximately 11:11 a.m. Sunday morning, a 2021 Kia Sportage operated by 31-year-old Rachel Zeller of Carroll, traveling southbound on Grant Road, attempted to make a left-hand turn onto 210th Street. A 2009 Jeep Patriot, driven by 31-year-old Randy Johnson of Carroll, was traveling northbound on Grant Road and hit the Zeller vehicle. Zeller and a passenger in Johnson’s vehicle, 25-year-old Morgan Dettman, were transported by ambulance to St. Anthony Regional Hospital for suspected serious injuries. Johnson and three children were transported by a private vehicle for treatment of minor injuries. Cars were both deemed a total loss, with $10,000 estimated for the Johnson Jeep and $15,000 for the Zeller’s Kia. Zeller was cited for failing to yield upon a left turn and operating without registration, and Johnson was cited for no insurance.
