This Saturday is National Drug Take Back Day, and the Drug Enforcement Administration reminds everyone to look through cabinets to remove expired or unused medication. National Drug Take Back Day is a biannual event in the fall and spring seasons. It promotes public safety by removing unneeded medicines from the home to prevent misuse. In October 2024, 50 law enforcement agencies participated in this event across Iowa, collecting 8,199 pounds of unused medication.
