The Storm Lake Police Department reports a Storm Lake man has been taken into custody on multiple charges of sexual abuse of two juveniles. At approximately 6 p.m. on July 20, law enforcement received a report of the alleged sexual abuse. Following the report, the Storm Lake Police Department opened a joint investigation with the Iowa Department of Human Services and MercyOne Siouxland Child Advocacy Center and found 41-year-old Pway Htoo engaged in multiple acts of sexual abuse against two children under the age of 12 between 2017 and 2020. Htoo was arrested at approximately 12:15 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21 and transported to the Buena Vista County jail. He is charged with six counts of second-degree sexual abuse, class B felonies, one count of incest, a class D felony, one count of assault with intent to commit sexual abuse and two counts of child endangerment, aggravated misdemeanors. Htoo remains in custody on a $134,000 bond.
