MRHC To Open Designated Respiratory Clinic For COVID-19 Patients On Tuesday

Manning Regional Healthcare Center (MRHC) has announced they are opening a designated respiratory clinic next week for treatment of patients with COVID-19. According to Family Practice Clinic Director, Shelby Dickson, the clinic opens on Tuesday, Sept. 1. Patients will enter through the back side of the hospital with multiple signs directing them to the proper door. Upon arrival, patients should call the clinic at 712-655-2072 and wait to receive instructions on when to proceed inside. MRHC continues to stress the importance of proper protocols for self-quarantine, isolation and testing. Infection Prevention Nurse, Jill Arp, says, “If you receive a positive COVID test, you should quarantine at least ten days from symptom onset until symptoms have improved and be fever free for at least 24 hours before returning to work.” MRHC, the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) and Carroll County Public Health continue to stress the importance of avoiding large community gatherings and wear a mask when physical distancing is not possible.
