Iowa’s high quality roads and the contractors who are partnering with counties and the state for these projects were recently recognized at the National Asphalt Pavement Association Annual Convention in La Quinta, Cal. Norris Asphalt of Ottumwa has worked on several Carroll County road projects and took home not only the highest honor with the Sheldon G Hayes Award for the best asphalt paving project in the country for US Highway 34 work in Adams County, they also received four Quality in Construction Awards for Farm-to-Market projects. This included the work recently done on M64 and N14 in Carroll County as well as US Highway 2 in Centerville. The fourth award was the Larry H. Lemon Award for being the nation’s top 15 pavements under 50,000 tons for the T61 project in Appanoose County.
