Carroll County Records 13th Coronavirus-Related Death

There has been another coronavirus-related death reported in Carroll County, an individual in the 80 plus age category, bringing the total to 13 as of 7 a.m. Wednesday morning. Over the course of the past 24 hours, the county’s positivity number has risen by 16, now at a pandemic total of 1,174. Of those, 703 are classified as recovered and there are 458 active cases. Carroll County remains 10th in the state for two-week positivity rates at 17.8 percent. For the rest of the region: Audubon is at 8.4 percent with 154 cases, 90 recovered and one death; Calhoun has an 11.3 percent rate with 315 positives, 249 recovered and four deaths; Crawford County is at 13.1 percent with 1,366 positives, 1,105 recovered and 14 deaths; Greene County remains at zero deaths with a 6.2 percent positivity rate, 188 positives and 112 recovered; Guthrie has 408 positives, an 11.8 percent two-week positivity rate, 262 recovered and 15 deaths; and Sac is at 10.3 percent with 406 positives, 277 recovered and four deaths. To date, Iowa is at 119,094 cases, 90,405 recovered and 1,679 deaths. There are now two long-term care facilities with reported outbreaks, Regency Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Carroll remains with zero of 12 COVID-19 positives recovered. The Denison Care Center has four of 37 cases listed as recovered and Eventide Lutheran Home in Denison has eight of 22 cases recovered.
