Five of seven regional counties report two-week positivity rates below 15 percent, but three more coronavirus-deaths were reported over the weekend. Crawford County has the highest positivity rate in the listening area and is ranked second in Iowa at 22.6 percent. They have reported one additional death, now at 17 and have 2,007 positives with 1,700 recovered. Greene County’s death count has risen by one to seven. They are reporting an 11.7 percent rate with 617 positives and 494 recovered. And Sac County also reported one additional death, now at 11, with a 12.8 percent positivity rate, 1,001 cases with 764 recovered. For the rest of the region, as of 6 a.m. today (Monday), Carroll is sitting at 20th in the state with a 17.5 percent positivity rate, 2,263 cases, 1,881 recovered and 27 deaths; Audubon is at 9.4 percent with 343 positives, 282 recovered and seven deaths; Calhoun County has the lowest two-week rate for the region, fourth lowest in the state at 8.8 percent, 1,157 positives, 992 recovered and nine deaths; and Guthrie County has a 13.6 percent positivity rate with 886 cases, 702 recovered and 22 deaths.
