Linda Baumhover, 76 of Carroll, died early Wednesday morning at her home in Carroll.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at St. John Paul II Parish – Holy Spirit Church in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Kevin Richter. Music will be by Jane Heithoff. Lector will be Marci Hayes. Casket Bearers will be Leon Baumhover, Harry Baumhover, Jim Stitz, Brad Stitz, Don Kitt, John Eischeid and Duane Kirsch. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.
Visitation without greeting the family will be held from 9:30-10 a.m. on Tuesday at the church. Those in attendance are required to wear a face covering and abide by current social distancing guidelines.

Born on March 12, 1944 at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll, Linda was the daughter of Kenneth and Mary (Knobbe) Eischeid. She was raised on the family farm near Breda and graduated from St. Bernard’s High School in 1962. After graduation she worked for the Burke Hotel, Louie’s Lounge, and Brown Derby as a waitress and bartender. She then worked at General Electric in customer service later graduating from DMACC with a Business Administrative Degree.
On May 27, 1977, she married Norbert Baumhover at Holy Spirit Church in Carroll with Monsignor Leo Lenz officiating. Linda later was employed with Job Service Workforce Center for the State of Iowa, retiring in 2007.
She enjoyed spending time with her husband and many nieces and nephews. Linda was a member of St. John Paul II Parish – Holy Spirit Church in Carroll where she was a member of the Ladies Guild and also ushered.
Linda is survived by her husband Norb of Carroll; her sister, Marlene (Ron) Wenthold of Ossian, Iowa; her brother, John (Marty) Eischeid of Lincoln, Nebraska; as well as Norb’s siblings and their spouses; many nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Mary Eischeid; and her parent’s in-law, Albert and Dora Baumhover.
