No injuries and only functional damages were reported in a two-vehicle accident in Carroll Friday evening. The Carroll Police Department responded to the scene at the junction of U.S. Highways 30 and 71 at approximately 5:17 p.m. Eighteen-year-old Ryan Johnston of Carroll was northbound on 71 in a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze. Nineteen-year-old Kelsie Schrader of Audubon was westbound on Highway 30 in a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze and failed to stop for the red light. She struck the Johnston vehicle on the passenger side. Schrader was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.
