The occupants of a Carroll residence escaped without injury after a fire broke out in a three-season room early Sunday morning. Carroll Fire Chief, Greg Schreck, says his department responded to the call at 547 W 20th Street at approximately 6:11 a.m. He says firefighters were able to contain the fire to the attached three-season room, but the rest of the home suffered moderate smoke damage. No damage estimate is available at this time and the cause of the fire remains under investigation. According to the Carroll County Assessor’s Office, the home is owned by John and Susan Hall. The Carroll Police Department and Carroll County Emergency Medical Services assisted at the scene.
