Dzuris is charged with second-offense possession of a controlled substance, an aggravated misdemeanor. Dzuris was arrested multiple times over a two-week span nine months ago. On May 1, Dzuris fled from an attempted traffic stop and was Tased after refusing to comply with officers’ orders. A similar situation occurred on May 4 involving the Iowa State Patrol and the Greene and Carroll County Sheriff’s Offices. He was arrested a third time on May 14 for operating a snowmobile with a barred driver’s license. Third-degree criminal mischief charges are also pending against Dzuris in Greene County District Court stemming from a separate arrest on Nov. 1.
