Boone 35
The 5th ranked Carroll Tigers were sharp on defense as they pull away from Boone in the 2nd quarter for a convincing win. The Tigers held Boone to 6 points in the 1st quarter and 11 in the 1st half. Problem for Carroll their offense couldn’t buy a basket in the 1st quarter. Carroll was down 6-2 and eventually cut it to 6-4 with all 4 points coming from the free throw line. The Tigers scored their first bucket on an offensive rebound and put back by Tory Feldman with around 15 seconds left in the 1st quarter. The game was knotted at 6 heading into the 2nd quarter when Carroll started to trap the ball, got a few easy buckets and then caught fire from deep. Nick Macke hit 3-3’s in the 2nd quarter and finished with 1st half with 16 points. Colby Christensen added a pair of 3’s and Carroll put 28 points on the board in the 3rd and led 34-11 at half. Carroll kept the pressure up early in the 3rd and got up by 32 before Boone went on a run and cut it to 25. The Tigers made some nice adjustments at half and after giving up a bunch of offensive rebounds in the 1st half but didn’t allow many in the 2nd half.
Nick Macke led three Carroll players in double figures with 24 points with 4-3’s. Tory Feldman added 12 points and a team high 7 rebounds, Colby Christensen added 10 points and 6 assists.

A slow start doomed the Raiders on Friday as their 11 game winning stream came to an end. The Raiders turned the ball over early and SEV took advantage with some early 3’s. The Jaguars shot the ball well early and finished the 1st quarter with 5-3’s and built a 17 point lead. The Raiders were having a hard time getting on track. SE Valley was guarding Cam Schroeder with 2-3 guys every time he touched the ball, affecting the Raiders ball movement and offensive rhythm. The Raiders were down 16 at half but as good teams do they made a run in the 2nd and had it to 41-35 late in the 3rd but that is as close as they would get. The Jaguars pulled away from there. Kolson Kruse had a big night for SE Valley and finished with 34 points including 7-3’s.
The Raiders got 18 points from Cam Schroeder along with 7 rebounds, Tyler Schmitt ended with 9 points and Dylan Meredith added 8 points.

Ar-We-Va 55
The Rockets had a couple chances late to cut into the lead and a shot at the buzzer to tie the game. That wouldn’t have been possible without a furious rally in the 4th quarter that saw them trim a 19 point deficit with 5:00 left to 3 points late. The Rockets began to get shots to fall which allowed them to press. They were able to create some turnovers and were helped when Woodbine missed a few late free throws. Ar-We-Va got an offensive rebound but missed two free throws with 6 seconds left but got the ball back and missed a 3 at the buzzer.
Zach Schimmer had 23 points and 6 rebounds, Will Ragaller added 23 points and Cooper Kock finished with a team high 10 rebounds.
