Carroll Man Faces More Drug Charges After Being Taken In On Failure To Appear Warrants

A Carroll man remains in custody Tuesday morning on drug charges. The Carroll Police Department reports that 25-year-old Larry Cornelius Shipp was arrested last Friday, at approximately 3:56 p.m., at 3rd and Clark Streets on Carroll County warrants for failure to appear on possession of methamphetamine charges. Then on Monday morning, Shipp was pulled over by an officer at approximately 11:36 a.m. on Grant Road for driving on a revoked license. During the arrest, a substance believed to be methamphetamine was located. Further charges are pending test results from the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) laboratory. Shipp was arrested two times in a single day last December. The first time he was charged with driving on a suspended license. Later that day, he was taken into custody for charges stemming from a Sept. 29 incident of first-offense operating while intoxicated—drug related—and possession of methamphetamine.
