Following Monday night’s Carroll City Council meeting and housing workshop, members entered into a closed session per Iowa Code 21.5(1)(c), “To discuss strategy with counsel in matters that are presently under litigation or where litigation is imminent where its disclosure would be likely to prejudice or disadvantage the position of the governmental body in that litigation.” After returning to open session, it was announced that no action would be taken at that time. Instead, the council will hold a special meeting on Wednesday morning (March 10) at 8 a.m. to continue discussion in an open session and take action on the issue. The council members will meet at the City Hall council chambers, but the meeting will remain closed to in-person attendance of the general public.
