Trial For Arcadia Man Accused Of Felony Child Endangerment Set For April 27

An Arcadia man charged in Carroll County District Court with two counts of felony child endangerment is scheduled to go before a jury next month. Court records show 34-year-old Michael Curtis Anderson filed his written not guilty pleas last week to the class D felony charges. Following his arraignment hearing, a judge signed an order setting Anderson’s trial to begin on Tuesday, April 27 with a pretrial conference on April 22. A Carroll County Sheriff’s Office affidavit alleges Anderson assaulted two juveniles on Feb. 24, resulting in injuries to both. Authorities say Anderson was intoxicated at the time of the incident. He was released from custody on his own recognizance following an appearance before a magistrate last month. If found guilty, Anderson faces up to 10 years in prison and $15,000 in fines.
