Council of Governments Housing (COGH), the local housing trust fund for Carroll, Audubon, Crawford, Greene, Guthrie and Sac Counties, can provide up to $50,000 in support of projects that create new housing. This may be new construction or rehabilitation of vacant structures or those that are converted from other uses to that of housing. The maximum amount awarded is $25,000 per unit, although applications that request less money will be scored more favorably. The assistance may come in the form of a forgivable or zero-interest loan.
