Trial information was filed Tuesday in Carroll County District Court against a Carroll man accused of brandishing a knife at a bar at the end of March. Forty-four-year-old David Paul Sousa is charged with carrying weapons, a serious misdemeanor. He was arrested by the Carroll Police Department in the 500 block of N. Main Street after police were called to a business there on March 30. According to law enforcement, Sousa was carrying and wielding an approximately 7-inch knife. Authorities note Sousa did not use the knife in order to commit a crime. His arraignment hearing is scheduled for Thursday, May 13.
