Kuemper at Hawkeye 10 Conference Meet
Kuemper competed at the Hawkeye 10 conference track meet Thursday and finished the day in seventh place in the team standings. Kuemper ended the meet with 39 team points. Lewis Central was crowned Hawkeye 10 conference champions with 141 team points. Kuemper was able to end the day with some strong performances, in both individual and relay events.
Max Meyers did well in the 400 meter hurdles where he won with a time of 55.87. Michael Pottebaum finished in third place in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:05.09 and finished in fifth place in the 1600 meter run with a time of 4:51.02. Pottebaum joined Max Meyers, Tanner Higby, and Garrett Christensen in the distance medley relay where they finished in fourth place with a time of 3:49.49.

Carroll at Raccoon River Conference Meet
The Carroll Tigers traveled to Bondurant Farrar to take part in the 2021 Raccoon River Conference track meet. The Tigers finished up the meet in eighth place in the team standings with 23 points. North Polk ended the meet in first place with 183 team points. Carroll had some strong performances, including three top five finishes in their relays
Carroll’s shuttle hurdle relay team, consisting of Colby Christensen, Haven Muggenberg, Tanner Pontow, and Jack Troutman, finished in fifth place with a time of 1:09.69. The 4X400 relay team, made up of Christensen, Remy Richardson, and Abraham and Zach Dirkx, finished in third place with a time of 3:32.69. Those same teammates also competed in the distance medley relay where they finished in third place with a time of 3:50.75.

Paton Churdan, Ar-We-Va, East Sac, IKM-Manning, and Glidden Ralston at South Central Calhoun
Paton Churdan, Ar-We-Va, East Sac, IKM-Manning, and Glidden Ralston and South Central Calhoun all competed at the 2021 Jim Yunek Co-ed Track meet Thursday. IKM-Manning finished the meet in second place with 90 team points. East Sac wrapped up the day in fourth place with 78 team points, tied with Glidden Ralston who also got 78 points. Ar-We-Va finished in seventh place with 46 points, followed by South Central Calhoun in eighth place with 38.50 points and Paton Churdan in ninth place with 2 points.
Quentin Dreyer of IKM-Manning brought his A-game in the long distance races. Dreyer won the 800 meter run with a time of 2:12.91 and the 3200 run with a time of 10:54.91. Dreyer was also part of the Distance Medley Relay team, along with Drew Doyel, Amos Rasmussen, and Conner Keller, that finished in second place with a time of 3:46.19. Eli Dreyer, Cooper Irlmeier, Justin Segebart, and Jaxon Doyel made up the 4X200 relay team that finished in second place with a time of 1:39.91. Doyel, Keller, and Segebart were joined by Akim Duot in the 4X400 relay where they won the event with a time of 3:47.58. Lane Sams gave the Wolves another top finish when he finished behind teammate Quentin Dreyer in the 3200 meter run in second place with a time of 10:59.89.
Tyler Schmitt gave East Sac two individual top two finishes. Schmitt got second in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.75 and the 400 meter dash with a time of 53.08. CJ Frank got a second place finish in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:00.80. East Sac’s Shuttle Hurdle team, consisting of Frank, Alex Hauser, Garrett Ortner, and Ace Thelen, finished in second place with a time of 1:10.09.
Brigham Daniel of Glidden Ralston gave the Wildcats four first place finishes, three individual and one relay. He won the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.86, 200 meter dash with a time of 22.58, and 400 meter dash with a time of 51.40. He was also part of the Sprint Medley Relay team along with Karter Kennebeck, Cater Soyer, and Carter Scott, who won the event with a time of 1:40.21. Emmett Snyder did well in the 800 meter run, finishing in second place with a time of 2:14.24
Ar-We-Va’s Cooper Kock finished top two in two of his individual events and was part of a winning relay team. Kock won the high jump with a jump of 6-04.00 and got second place in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 15.74. Will Ragaller won the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 59.65. Ragaller and Kock joined Zach Schimmer and Braedin Kirsch in the shuttle hurdle event where they won with a time of 1:08.82.
Ayden Toms of South Central Calhoun was part of three top three finishes on the day. Toms finished in third place in the 110 hurdles with a time of 17.08. Toms joined Cole Corey, Ben Englin, and T’Juan Hildreth in the 4X100 relay where they got third place with a time of 46.25. Toms, Englin, and Corey were joined by Brock Nattress in the Sprint Medley Relay event where they finished in 1:41.92.
Paton Churdan saw one of their competitors finish in the top five. Bradyn Smith finished in fifth place in the discus event with a throw of 122-01.

Coon Rapids Bayard and Audubon at Panorama
Coon Rapids Bayard and Audubon were in action Thursday as they traveled to Panorama. Audubon finished the meet in fourth place in the team standings with 75 points followed by Coon Rapids Bayard with 44 points in sixth place. Van Meter won the meet with 166 team points. Both Coon Rapids Bayard and Audubon brought home a handful of top two finishes.
Gavin Smith of Audubon did well in the hurdle events at this meet. Smith won the 110 meter hurdles with a final time of 15.73. He was also part of the shuttle hurdle relay, along with Joel Klocke, Ethan Klocke, and Brandon Jensen, where they finished in second place with a time of 1:04.54. Smith, Ethan and Joel Klocke, and Matthew Beisswenger competed in the 4X100 relay finishing in second place with a time of 44.77 and the sprint medley relay winning the event with a time of 1:39.67. Joel Klocke saw success in his individual event, finishing in second place in the 400 hurdles with a time of 58.24. Jackson Deist gave the Wheelers another top two finish in the 800 meter run where he got second place with a time of 2:12.22.
Omarion Floyd of Coon Rapids Bayard did well individually, finishing in second place in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.96. Floyd was also part of the 4X200 relay team, along with Easton Hays, Gabe Obert, and Tanner Oswald, that finished in second place with a time of 1:34.67. Obert and Hays performed well in the jumping field events. Obert got second place in the high jump with a jump of 6-02.00 and Hays won the long jump event with a jump of 20-06.25.
