The Jefferson Police Department reports an Ogden man has been taken into custody after he allegedly rammed his vehicle into his girlfriend’s car early Saturday morning. The victim contacted law enforcement at approximately 3:03 a.m. and advised she was driving near the Jefferson Square. She told authorities 34-year-old Mark Douglas Haase was following her with his vehicle, and Haase had struck the rear of her car several times in an attempt to get her to stop. Authorities learned during their investigation that Haase had also assaulted the victim twice prior to this incident. Officers have requested arrest warrants for Haase on two counts of second-offense domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury, an aggravated misdemeanor. At approximately 9:24 p.m. Sunday, a caller advised Haase was at a residence in the 500 block of North Olive Drive. Authorities were allowed inside the home and located Haase hiding under a bed. He was taken into custody and extradited back to Boone County where he was wanted for outstanding warrants for probation violations. He remained in custody as of Monday afternoon.
