Audubon heads into sectional play on Friday with a hard fought win at home against a fellow Western Iowa Conference team. The Wheelers has five golfers shoot in the 40’s and tied with the 2nd and 3rd lowest scores to earn runner-up medalist honors. Carter Andreassen shot a 46 for the their fourth best score which was the difference as the other three scores for each team only gave the Wheelers a one stroke lead.
Alec Fichter of Missouri Valley won Medalist honors with a 43 and was followed by Aiden Alta and Edward Miller of Audubon who both shot a 44. Alt would earn Runner-Up Medalist honors. Joey Schramm shot a 45 for the Wheelers third best score.
The Wheelers head to Coon Rapids Bayard on Friday morning for sectionals.
