Audubon and Coon Rapids Bayard At Boyer Valley
Coon Rapids Bayard Girls advance to the District on Monday in Anita as did Sydney Beymer of Audubon who qualified as an individual. The players all battled through some rain and cloudy conditions on Monday as the weather wasn’t ideal for golf. The Crusaders join Kingsley Pierson who won the Sectional with a 398. The host school Boyer Valley took 2nd place with a 408 allowing 3rd place Coon Rapids Bayard to also advance with their 427. Audubon fell short finishing 4th as a team with a 441.
The Crusaders shot well with Alaya Betts taking 3rd overall with a 96. She was their only golfer to shot less than 100 but they were steady in their next three scores with Emma Hart a 100, Brynn Bass a 111 and Morgen Hart garnering a 120.
Sydney Beymer led Audubon as she has most of the season with a 99. She was finished 5th as an individual and moves on to next weeks match in Anita. Allison Elmquist was 2nd for the Wheelers with a 109 followed by Kali Irlmeier who closed the season strong. She shot a 115 on Monday and Kacie Anthofer was the final Wheeler score on the card, she shot a a 118.
