In mid-May, a group of softball enthusiasts held the first ever SuperDraft tournament with a goal of raising $10,000 in support of area cancer patients. One of the organizers, Katie Decker, joked that if they hit that mark, she would do cartwheels down the baseline. Well that must have been a sight to see because the group recently made a presentation of $10,000 to the St. Anthony Foundation for patients at the St. Anthony Cancer Center who are facing financial difficulties because of their illness. This year’s success has the SuperDraft crew, Tad and Katie Decker, Katie and Kyle Cornelius and Kevin Nepple, prepping for the second annual event in 2022. More details on that will be made available through the Carroll SuperDraft Facebook page in the coming months.
