Alma Brincks, age 97 of Carroll and formerly of Roselle, died Friday, June 18, 2021 at Regency Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Carroll.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 24 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Roselle. The Celebrant will be Fr. Timothy Schott. Music will be provided by Jane Heithoff and Kathleen Macke. Lector will be Deb Goetzinger. Gift bearers will be Alma’s children: Steven, Nancy, and Brenda. Eucharistic Minister will be Amy Schreck. Casket Bearers for the service will be Andy Olberding, Hans Halbur, Andrew Hugeback, Ben Johnson, Chad Brincks, and Jake Ritchhart. Burial will follow in the Holy Angels Cemetery in Roselle.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. with a Rosary at 6 p.m. at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll.
There will be no additional visitation on Thursday prior to the funeral mass at the church.

Born on November 26, 1923 in Roselle, Alma was the daughter of Nic and Catherine (Bruning) Goetzinger. She grew up in Roselle and attended Holy Angels School. On March 4, 1946, Alma married Clarence Brincks at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Roselle, where Alma was a lifelong member and part of the Holy Angels Altar Society.
Alma enjoyed playing cards, sewing, cooking, and was a babysitter for many years who touched a lot of lives. Her favorite outings were playing Bingo and a trip to the casino now and then.
Left to celebrate Alma’s life are her son Steven Brincks and his wife Jeanne: their children Chad Brincks; Stephanie Ritchhart and husband Jake with their children Abram and Lucas; Ben Johnson and wife Jamie with their children Aaden and Isaac; Katie Blankley and husband Cody with their children Liam, Kash, and Shawn; her daughter Nancy Altenhein and her husband John; and her daughter Brenda Hugeback and her husband Doug: their children Jenna Olberding and husband Andy with their children Mox, Moyer, and Mozlynn; Alicia Halbur and husband Hans with their children Henry and Hayes; and Andrew Hugeback and wife Ashley with their children Emery and Teegan. Alma is also survived by her sister-in-law Maxine Goetzinger, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clarence, grandson Shawn Steven Brincks, and siblings Irene (Tony) Lammers, Edwin (Rayneldis) Goetzinger, Alvin Goetzinger, Marcella (John) Guess, Leota (Benny) Miller, Rita (Carroll) Birch, Matt (Agnes) Goetzinger, Dottie (Kenny) Sieve, Clete (Darlene) Goetzinger, Elmer, Walter, and Vince Goetzinger.
