Roping, Riding And More Stampedes Back Into Lake City This Weekend

The Western Days Rodeo in Lake City is coming back full force in 2021 and Top Rail Saddle Club Treasurer, Nancy Janssen says they are thrilled.

As in years past, there will be lots of cowboys, cowgirls, bulls, broncs, roping, riding and more. However, there is a change for this return.

There will still be a showcase of some local talent as well.

The first big rodeo is Saturday night, June 26 at 7:30 p.m. and closes with a spectacular fireworks show. Then on Sunday a new rodeo starts at 6 p.m.

Tickets are available at the gate for $15 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Concessions are available on the grounds. Other activities include a pool party and beer garden with entertainment Friday night. Saturday kicks-off with a two-mile fun run and square activities in the morning and the parade at 1:30 p.m. On Sunday cowboy church and breakfast starts off the day at 9 a.m. and there is a bags tournament in the afternoon before the rodeo.
