Grassley Won’t Talk About Running For Re-election, But He Did Talk About China

Although Senator Chuck Grassley told the crowd gathered at Trophies Plus in Breda on Thursday morning that they would have to wait until November to find out if he was going to throw his hat back in the ring after four decades in the Senate, he did answer questions from attendees. And as a return to more “normal” meetings and gatherings are taking place after 15 months of COVID-19 restrictions and limitations, Iowa District 12 House Representative, Brian Best, asked if Grassley believes President Biden will be holding China accountable for not coming clean about the onset of the coronavirus.

But, he adds, that is the only move Biden has made. Grassley believes we need to take a stronger stand against the World Health Organization, who basically just accepted everything China said.

Grassley is satisfied as of now with the way the Biden Administration is handling our economy and national security. However, Biden is not really saying much about China, rather spending time getting Japan, South Korea, Canada and Europe together and unified. Grassley points to a weak link in this plan.

This is not the reality as he says there has been freedom of the sea for all since the beginning of humankind. Grassley says China is violating every human rights rule we have and Europe knows its bad, but Europe isn’t willing to clamp down on them. And when it comes to China saying they are leading the world in international cooperation, how can this be trusted when they can’t even abide by their own agreements? He cites the Hong Kong Treaty, signed with Great Britain in 1987 that returned Hong Kong to China with the stipulation that the capitalist system would remain unchanged until 2047. That agreement has since been breached by China. Carroll Broadcasting will bring you more from Grassley’s visit to Breda and his tour of Trophies Plus in upcoming newscasts.
