Two Lohrville Residents Accused Of Shoplifting More Than $750 In Merchandise

Two Lohrville residents were arrested over the weekend, accused of shoplifting more than $750 worth of merchandise from the Carroll Walmart. The Carroll Police Department reports they were notified of the theft from the store in the 2000 block of Kittyhawk Avenue at approximately 8:05 p.m. Friday. Fifty-five-year-old Anne Marie Caldeira and 34-year-old Shon Edward Caldeira were taken into custody and charged with third-degree theft, aggravated misdemeanors that are punishable by up to two years in prison and fines up to $6,250. Both have since been released on their own recognizance. Shon Edward Caldeira was arrested by officers with the Carroll Police Department on June 14 after he was identified by a witness as the suspect in an assault in Graham Park. Caldeira led authorities on a foot chase, but was apprehended quickly with assistance from an Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) Motor Vehicle Enforcement officer.
