The City of Ralston has lifted its Do Not Drink advisory for customers on the community’s water system. City officials issued the order July 14 after an unusually high levels of manganese were identified during standard bacterial testing. Work on the town’s water tower at the time caused pressure in the mains to drop below normal and resulted in the increased manganese concentrations. Crews have been flushing lines regularly for the last two weeks and received notice Friday that levels had returned to safe amounts. City officials thank customers for their patience and understanding while they worked to correct the issue.
