The Kuemper Catholic School System is welcoming eight new instructors to their faculty and President, John Steffes, says they are all very ready for a year that looks much different than 2020. However, they will still be utilizing safety measures to ensure students and staff are as safe as possible.
There were not any major improvements made to the existing facilities, but Steffes says they did do an overhaul to some restrooms at the St. Angela building.
Steffes says they are also really pleased to announce that a program already implemented for elementary students will now be expanded in a pilot program for high school students.
Every month the students study a different virtue and the associated saints. This is just one of many things that makes Steffes excited for the future as he welcomes back the staff.
And he says they are all ready to have the students coming back right away this fall for face-to-face instruction.
Classes for Kuemper start on Wednesday, Aug. 25, but Family Fun Night will be Monday, Aug. 23.
The Kuemper Board of Education is also welcoming Father Michael Cronin, who has replaced Father Randy Schon at Vail, and Mike Sibbel of Halbur has concluded his term on the board and been replaced by Joe Behrens from Templeton.
