A Coon Rapids woman accused of biting another woman during a dispute was sentenced last week after reaching a plea agreement with prosecutors. Carroll County District Court records show 28-year-old Marne Marie Irlbeck was charged with assault with intent to inflict serious injury, an aggravated misdemeanor. Irlbeck was arrested in June of 2020 for allegedly biting the victim’s hand with enough force to cause bleeding and deep lacerations requiring medical attention. She was ordered to serve 90 days in the Carroll County jail with all but the time previously served suspended. Over $900 in fines and surcharges were also suspended in accordance with the plea agreement. Irlbeck was placed on probation for two years to the Iowa Department of Correctional Services.
