The Sac City Public Library is inviting patrons to dispose of their unwanted personal documents later this month with a community-wide shred event. From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 18, patrons can bring their old utility bills, bank statements, ATM receipts and other sensitive paperwork to the shredder truck that will set up in the library parking lot. Residents can safely get rid of these documents for a free will donation with all money raised benefiting the Sac City Friends of the Library to support library programs.
