Over 3,500 donors contributed to the mission behind the 32nd Annual Kuemper Ball which took place Saturday night. A total of $685,432.11 was raised, exceeding last year’s total, in support of providing students with a Catholic Education. Co-Chair Kelly Foley says with that kind of a number one might think there’s a lot of large donors, but that’s not the case.
The Kuemper Ball has become a critical component to the annual operating budget of Kuemper Catholic Schools adds Foley, and during the ball literal torches were passed on to next year’s co-chairs to start the planning process all over again. Foley commented on his own experience saying it’s been overwhelming in a good way.
Many of those community supporters also walked away champions as twenty-three raffle item winners were drawn, bidders in a live auction raised $11,300 towards the fundraising total, and the 4th Annual Ag Raffle winner was announced as Bob Adams while Jared and Cindy Menke walked away with the 10th Annual Vehicle Raffle prize. Since the Kuemper Ball began in 1985 over $8.37 million dollars has been raised in support of the Kuemper Catholic School System. To see photos from the event visit our Facebook page.
