UPDATE 8:08 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8–Carroll Broadcasting is waiting for a reply from a spokesperson at Ag Partners in Albert City about a fire reported early this (Friday) morning. Initial reports indicate that the fire is believed to be electrical in nature in the outside conveyers. There is no dust or grain involved and the flames are not in any of the bins. Multiple fire departments have responded to the scene. Again, we will bring you more information on the situation as it becomes available.
7:55 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8–Reports are coming in about a grain elevator fire at the Ag Partners facility in Albert City.
Listeners have sent in photos and Carroll Broadcasting has reached out to the business for comment.

There was a tragedy at this same elevator in June of 1971 when seven men fell to their deaths after scaffolding collapsed during construction of a new roof.
