A Carroll man was taken into custody Thursday after allegedly assaulting an individual following a dispute. According to an affidavit filed in Carroll County District Court by the Carroll Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Grant Road in response to a report from the victim. They told law enforcement 56-year-old Scott Alan Moeller had pushed them onto a bed and choked them during an argument that had occurred earlier in the day. Authorities say the victim showed marks around their neck that matched their report. Moeller was taken into custody and transported to the Carroll County jail, where he was charged with assault with intent to inflict serious injury, an aggravated misdemeanor. He was released Friday after posting a $2,000 surety bond. Moeller’s next court appearance is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 1.
