Manning Regional Healthcare Center (MRHC) announced today (Friday) they will begin offering Moderna vaccine booster shot clinics weekly for as long as supplies are available. Shots will be administered to individuals from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. each Thursday at MRHC. The Moderna COVID-19 booster has been approved by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for individuals 65 years and older, and individuals over 18 years old who reside in long-term care settings, have underlying medical conditions or live or work in high-risk settings. MRHC Infection Prevention Nurse, Jill Arp, says, “We encourage patients who fit any of these categories to call MRHC to set up an appointment to receive their booster.” Appointments can be made by calling 712-655-2072. Patients are reminded to bring their vaccination cards with them to be updated.
