Six local state representatives joined 43 other members of the Iowa House in endorsing Republican, Chuck Grassley, for reelection to the U.S. Senate. Those legislators from the listening area include: Brian Best of District 12, Steve Holt of District 18, Mike Sexton of District 10, Ray Sorenson of District 20, Gary Worthan of District 11 and Phil Thompson of District 47. They write in a joint letter with their colleagues, “In Grassley’s first campaign for Congress, he ran as the Inflation Fighter. As tight-fisted fiscal conservative, Iowans trust Chuck to protect taxpayer dollars and grow the economy. We need Chuck now more than ever to stop the reckless tax-and-spend agenda of the Biden Administration.” District 3 State Senator, Jim Carlin, is challenging Grassley for the Republican nomination. Three candidates remain in the Democratic primary race: Former U.S. Representative, Abby Finkenauer; retired Navy Admiral, Michael Franken; and Minden Councilman, Dr. Glenn Hurst.
