The 33rd annual Lake View Arctic Open is scheduled for next weekend. The Arctic Open is a unique winter golfing event put on by the Blackhawk Men’s Club. Blackhawk Men’s Club member, Kyle Peters, says they have a lot planned for this year’s event.
You can sign-in at the Camp Crescent Campground, Town Bay. The open is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 5 on Blackhawk Lake. The cost is $75 per team, and early registration is now open. You can also register the day of the event. You can preregister on the club’s Facebook page and email them at blackhawkmensclub@gmail.com. Peters says there will also be events after the open.
If the ice is not thick enough make-up dates will be scheduled, so stay tuned to the men’s club Facebook page for any updates. Peters talks about how thick the ice needs to be for the open.
Peters says the money raised will be donated to local clubs.
