The East Sac County (ESC) Community School District is requesting stakeholders’ input to assist in the development of their 2022-23 school calendar. A four-question survey is available online and narrows in on two topics. The first concerns ESC’s spring break schedule. Currently, spring break coincides with the Easter holiday, but school officials are considering putting break closer to the middle of the second semester sometime in March. The other is how the schools will manage professional development. Ideas on the table include: weekly late starts, weekly early outs, biweekly late starts, biweekly early outs or a full day off for students once per month. ESC currently uses a once-per-month schedule for professional development. Responses will be accepted until Thursday, Feb. 10, and a link to the survey can be found included below.
