The Carroll Fire Department was dispatched this (Monday) afternoon to a reported house fire near Adams Elementary School. At least four trucks responded at approximately 3:45 p.m. to a residence near the intersection of North Main and 11th Streets. Crews worked on scene for more than an hour to extinguish the blaze and clear smoke from the structure. The home did not appear to show any exterior signs of damage.
