Carroll County Supervisors Approve Plans For E19 Resurfacing Near Lanesboro This Summer

The Carroll County Board of Supervisors has approved to repave a nearly two-mile stretch of County Road E19 near Lanesboro during the upcoming construction season. County Engineer, Zac Andersen, outlined the project’s scope for the board during yesterday’s (Monday) meeting.

He says the work planned for E19, also known as 130th Street, is a simple mill and hot-mix asphalt resurfacing project.

The supervisors voted unanimously in favor of a resolution approving the plans. Andersen says their next step is to solicit bids from potential contractors.

The work is tentatively scheduled for some time in June or July, but Andersen says that the timeline may change to adjust for the chosen contractor’s schedule. E19 is not a highly traveled county road, but construction will affect the motorists who use it regularly. Andersen anticipates it will be closed for about a week once crews arrive at the site. More details on the construction deadline will become available once bids are received at the end of the month.
