An eastern Iowa snack company, Almost Famous Popcorn, has announced the acquisition of Sac City-based Noble Popcorn Company. Noble Popcorn was purchased more than 30 years ago by the Lines family of Sac City and originally supplied raw products for corporate gifts and fundraising. They later expanded into retail snack sales as Cedar Creek Popcorn. Almost Famous Popcorn CEO and Co-Owner, Sydney Rieckhoff, who founded the company 10 years ago with her little brother, says, “This will allow us to scale and will increase our ability to share delicious, gourmet popcorn across the state of Iowa. The acquisition demonstrates our commitment to expanding our product offerings to best meet the needs of our consumers. As a proud Iowan, I am excited for the job creation and economic impact that this next phase of expansion will bring.” Other details of the acquisition were not immediately available.
