The Glidden City Council approved a discount to the Wellness Center for volunteer Emergency Medical Serves (EMS) and Fire Department members at last night’s (Monday) meeting. City Administrator, Brooke Peterson, says they did pass the resolution amending the Glidden Aquatic Center, but this is mainly for the Wellness Center.
A membership gives you 24-hour access to the center. Peterson says there are two types of plans a volunteer can pick and explains both options.
The council’s original plan was to give them a discounted rate but ultimately decided to go with free memberships for EMS and Fire Department volunteers. The memberships are effective right away. Individuals interested in joining the Wellness Center can stop by Glidden City Hall or contact them at 712-659-3010.
