The Carroll Police Department responded to a single traffic accident over the weekend. Officers were dispatched to the scene in the 1000 block of Simon Avenue at approximately 9:04 a.m. on Saturday morning. Their initial investigation determined a 1995 Chevrolet Blazer, driven by 19-year-old Connor Peterson of Carroll, was traveling southbound on Simon and collided with a legally parked 2018 Jeep Wrangler, resulting in functional damage to both vehicles. Authorities cited Peterson for striking an unattended vehicle and failure to yield half of the roadway.
