Railway-street crossings will be closed in Carroll later this week. Union Pacific Railroad is planning to close railway-street crossings at Main Street, Clark Street, and Grant Road Friday afternoon. The closings are designed to permit the Union Pacific Railroad crew to continue track work in the areas. Depending on the conditions encountered during the work, the crossings will be closed through Saturday. Union Pacific was going to start work Thursday but pushed it back due to equipment breakdown.
