Born on January 25, 1934, Angie was the only child of August and Crescentia (Danzer) Jung. She grew up on the family farm playing with neighborhood children and her many cousins. She attended elementary school in Willey and attended Glidden High School, where with her friendly and outgoing personality, she was named Homecoming Queen. After graduating high school, she met the love of her life at the Starline dance hall. Angie was united in marriage to Luverne Brinker at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on April 30. 1955 in Willey, Iowa.
Angie and Luverne enjoyed 58 beautiful years together before his death in 2013. Angie loved her family above all else and, being an only child herself, was thrilled when they were blessed with six children.  They made their home on a farm near Mt. Carmel for many years, where she often whipped up her state fair award-winning angel food cake for her growing family. With Luverne, she enjoyed spending time with neighbors and friends, playing cards, enjoying get-togethers, and going to the casinos. Anyone that knew her, knew how much she loved to decorate for all of the different holidays, and her painted pumpkins and homemade costumes at Halloween were legends. Angie loved music, singing in the
church choir for many years and to her children and grandchildren for many more.
There was always music in the house when Angie was there, and the family relishes in telling how she taught them German drinking songs, with juice, of course.  Angie and Luverne had many worldwide adventures together and with friends. Among the many places they visited were Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Panama Canal, Alaska, and Hawaii. Angie was an active member of Catholic Daughters of America and the Breda Auxiliary. After retirement, she spent many hours volunteering in the hospital coffee shop, New Hope store, and as part of the RSVP funeral dinner group.
Survivors include her children: Mike Brinker and wife Robyn of Carroll, Bob Brinker and wife Annie of Severance, CO, Diane Miller and her husband Jeff of Kalona, IA, Dale Brinker of Loveland, CO, Steve Brinker and his wife Cori of Carroll, Sheila Scevers and her husband Tracy of Abilene, TX, 17 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and two sisters-in-law Jerrine Brinker of Westin, WI and Mary Jo Brinker of Westin, WI.
Angie was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Luverne.
