The Carroll County Board of Supervisors will meet an hour earlier than usual for their meeting on Monday as they review the latest updates on the ongoing courthouse renovations. While services for county residents have not been significantly impacted so far, the sounds of construction are nearly constant. Most of the work has been focused on the courthouse’s lower levels so far, but offices will soon be forced to relocate or alter their services as the primary work area moves. At 9:30 a.m., the board will discuss the county’s participation in the Hungry Canyons Alliance (HCA) program. This 23-county partnership aims to assist counties in western Iowa in reducing or eliminating stream and riverbank erosion. Other Items on Monday’s agenda include a quarterly update from the County Recorder’s Office, a report from County Engineer Zac Andersen on secondary roads, and reports from committees. The 8 a.m. The April 17 meeting is open to the public and will be live-streamed via the county’s YouTube channel.
