Iowa Hawkeye Fans Show Support At Annual Carroll Area I-Club Banquet

The Arcadia Legion Hall was near total capacity Tuesday night as the Carroll Area I-Club hosted its 2023 banquet. Iowa Hawkeye fans gathered to hear from prominent names within the athletic department. The banquet featured Iowa Head Coaches Kirk Ferentz, Tom Brands, and Fran McCaffery. Athletic Direct Gary Barta and Voice of the Hawkeyes Gary Dolphin were also in attendance. The annual Carroll Area I-Club banquet is one of the more well-attended by fans. All proceeds from ticket sales to silent auction items will be donated to the university. Iowa Head Football Coach Kirk Ferentz details some areas the money is used for.

Ferentz adds in the 20-plus years he has been attending banquets, he is pleased to see how the I-Club organization has grown. Ferentz thanks everyone that came out to support the Iowa athletic programs.

Three individuals won Hawkeye of the Year. One local winner John Reglein for his continued support for Iowa athletics. The other two awards were awarded to Assistant Athletic Director, Special Projects Andy Piro, and Voice of the Hawkeyes Gary Dolphin. Dolphin says Carroll County bleeds black and gold.

Again, all money raised at last night’s (Tuesday) banquet goes to support the university in a multitude of ways. Those interested in finding out more information about area I-Clubs can follow the link included with this story on our website.
