Carroll School Board Convenes Monday For First Meeting Of FY24

The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education convenes Monday for its first meeting of Fiscal Year 2024. Superintendent Dr. Casey Berlau says a good portion of the items on the agenda are routine start-of-year business, such as designating the district bank depositories, board appointments, and annual agreements.

Berlau says he and the board will also review a list of goals he has prepared for the district for FY24.

The 2023-2024 school year is scheduled to begin in just over five weeks, which Berlau says is enough time for a few smaller summer projects to be completed. Those bids are up for approval on Monday.

The board is also scheduled to take formal action on a resolution scheduling an election for the public to approve a revenue purpose statement related to the state’s Secure an Advanced Vision for Education (SAVE) used for school infrastructure improvements. The board will also vote on a resolution indicating their intent to renew the Instructional Support Levy (ISL), which has been in use by the district since 2015. The July 17 meeting is open to the public and begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Adams Elementary School board conference room. The full agenda can be found included below.
