Lake View’s New City Administrator, Theresa Pudenz, Officially Joins The Staff This Week

Lake View’s new City Administrator, Theresa Pudenz, officially started in her new role with the city yesterday (Monday) and is excited to work in the new community. Pudenz’s first day at the helm included welcoming thousands of RAGBRAI riders to town as they passed through on their way to Carroll from Storm Lake. Pudenz says she learned quickly that Lake View is a beautiful place filled with people who love their hometown.

Before joining Lake View’s staff, Pudenz worked as the city administrator in Holstein for 4.5 years. She has over 15 years of experience in municipal government, beginning in 2007 in southwest Iowa.

Pudenz, who is originally from Carroll, says the Lake View position has the added benefit of bringing her and her husband closer to family.

Pudenz is an Iowa State University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management. She says her first few months in Lake View will be spent getting to know the community better. Once settled, she’ll use her experience and education to capitalize on what she sees as excellent opportunities for growth in Lake View.

Pudenz adds another top priority will be maintaining Lake View’s chief resource, Black Hawk Lake. She encourages residents to stop by city hall and introduce themselves or bring any concerns they may have to her attention. Pudenz is replacing longtime Lake View City Administrator Scott Peterson, who took over as city administrator in Jefferson earlier this summer.
