St. Anthony Regional Hospital Announces Completion Of Dialysis-OB Department Renovations

St. Anthony Regional Hospital has announced the completion of renovations to its dialysis and obstetrics (OB) departments. These updates mark a significant step in enhancing healthcare services in west central Iowa and the surrounding region. The Birth Place at St. Anthony holds the distinction of being designated as a “Center of Excellence” by Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds. This recognition comes with a substantial $1.5 million grant aimed at supporting Centers of Excellence in rural Iowa. Over the next three years, St. Anthony will utilize this funding to improve maternal and infant healthcare access and quality. The OB department enhancements coincide with improvements to the dialysis clinic. After two decades on the fourth floor, the clinic now occupies a more accessible space on the facility’s first floor. The layout prioritizes patient convenience, with direct access from the main entry and an interior design inspired by nature. St. Anthony’s President and CEO, Allen Anderson, says, “These renovations will help us bring the most advanced, comprehensive care to Iowans in need of dialysis treatment and maternal care and continue to build St. Anthony Regional Hospital as a center of excellence in the region. We appreciate the support from Governor Reynolds, our staff, and the community, as well as all those who helped bring this important project to life.” The updates will further establish St. Anthony Regional Hospital as a leader in healthcare excellence in the region.
