The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education technically has two meetings scheduled for Monday night: their routine November one and the annual organizational meeting to follow. Superintendent Dr. Casey Berlau says the focus of the first meeting will primarily be on proposed retirement incentives for longer-tenured district staff.
Other items on that first agenda are the second readings of more than a dozen board policy updates or adjustments, including student suspension/expulsion protocols and students’ code of conduct, and a review of the recent school board election results, which ended with the tree open seats going to Jim Friel, Jill Johnston, and Stacey McCaulley. Berlau says they will transition to their organizational meeting around 6:30 p.m.
Once those items have been decided, the board has a few other quick items of business to complete before adjourning.
Monday’s meeting is open to the public and is also available via Zoom. The complete agenda is included with this story on our website.
